Congratulations to TY students Lainey Harty and Jennifer Dineen on reaching the finals of the Junk Kouture 2023 competition to be held in Dublin in May. Out of a total 1200 entries the girls reached the final 60 in Ireland.
Junk Kouture is a creative, sustainable fashion competition that challenges young people to design, upcycle and create high end Kouture from recycled Junk, before showcasing their design and representing their school on stages across the world! The girls embraced the sustainability theme by using waste material from Jennifer's farm such as wellies, silage bale wrap and flower pots. We wish the girls the best of luck on being the first SPSL group to get to the final of this prestigious competition.
