As we settle back into a new term we look back on a really lovely occasion just before the midterm break, when we got to celebrate the achievements of many students past and present at our Annual School Awards. Well done to all recipients.

Subject Awards were presented to:

  • Ava Twomey, Aoife Murphy, Christine Moynihan, Ciara Murphy (Nano Nagle Award),
  • John Hughes (Endeavour Award),
  • Jennifer Buckley (Sliabh Luachra Arts and Culture Award),
  • Lainey Harty and Máire Fitzpatrick (Leadership Award),
  • Mariia Lukashevych (Principal's Award),
  • First year girls basketball team 2023/24 (Junior Sport Award),
  • Grace Murphy (Senior Sports Award).
  • The Paud O' Leary Memorial Award was presented to Joan O Mahony for her outstanding contribution to basketball in the school and community over many years.
The students who received awards for academic excellence included:

  • The Leaving Certificate Student of the Year Award went to Seán O’ Keeffe.
Many thanks to everyone who made it such an enjoyable event and míle buíochas to our guest speaker, past pupil Eoin Lawlor for returning to present awards and for his wonderful words of advice for students.

Our 3rd & 6th year students had a busy but productive morning on Monday with workshops from Inspire Education on study skills, memory techniques, concentration and wellness in an exam year. Well done to everyone for engaging so well in the workshops.
