Today's event follows on from our successful “Our Money, Our Future” financial literacy initiative, which was celebrated last week during SPSL Finance Fest. This initiative aimed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions and ensure their long-term financial wellbeing.
At the Global Money Week launch, our students heard from distinguished speakers, including Brian McHugh, Chairperson of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), and Robert Troy, Minister of State at the Department of Finance. These experts shared valuable insights into the importance of financial education and the steps being taken at both national and international levels to promote financial literacy.
The event was not only informative but also highly engaging, offering a platform for young people to gain a deeper understanding of financial wellbeing.
The opportunity for our students to participate in such a significant event highlights SPSL's commitment to providing our students with real-world experiences that will equip them for the future.
We are incredibly proud of our TY students for representing the school at such an important event and for their continued enthusiasm towards learning about personal finance and wellbeing.
